You don't need a degree to join us. But be warned you will be required to study and there is some classroom learning to go alongside the operational learning.
You will be paid and supported whilst training.
What you will do, what you need and your salary
As a new police officer you’ll follow a two year training plan, learning on the job from experienced colleagues. This will be supported by training from our in-house team. After 37 weeks you’ll reach independent patrol status and when you finish your training you’ll have earned a Diploma in Professional Policing Practice (Level 5).
Must have:
Level 2 in English & Maths (grade C/4 or higher) & Must have Level 3 (equivalent to 32 UCAS points) or
18 months service as a PCSO / Call handler / Special Constable or service in one of the other accepted roles
Salary:
Start with a salary of £31,164, earn up to £50,256 within seven years of joining
